I don’t think the doctor gave me enough lamisil pills for toenail fungus?

well well asked:

Im 26 and have been embarrassed about my toenails for years. I finally decided to quit using all the stuff I read about and go to the doctor for the pills. (lamisil) well it turns out that I didnt have to go to the doctor because when I was on my 2 week summer camp with the national guard I had to go to the doctor so why I was there I just asked the millitary PA if he could give me a perscription for lamisil for my toes and he did. But he only gave me 42 pills. one a day for 42 days, thats only 6 weeks. I read that for toenails you are supposed to take one a day for 12 weeks. What do you think? Should I go back to a civilian Dr. or what? Im scared that if the 6 week treatment isnt enough the fungus will just grow back. thoughts?

Embarrassing Toenail Fungus Question?

☼grundle goat☼ asked:

Embarrassment Aside:

I have toenail fungus on my right foot. it started out as just one toenail and spread to the others. i assume it was gotten from a public shower. anyway, my question is, most oral treatments (lamisil etc.) cause liver damage and I am positive for hepatitis C. What treatments if any could i take that wouldnt damage my liver? topical treatments won’t work by the way because the fungus is pretty extensive.

Toenail Fungus? What is this?

blackout1533 asked:

I have a kind of toenail fungus it seems. Both of my pinkie toes have a toenail, but then on the edge, they have like a fungus nail that is almost attached to it. I wonder if there is an end of the nail under there, right now I’m split into like two/thirds of actual toenail here. I wonder if the fungus has actually enraptured around the 1/3 of my nail, or is just layered on it. It’s kind of yellowish-green, I’m not sure if it’s the yellow toenails you see on TV being torn by the yellow fungus guy because this is actually more mounted on my toenail. I’ve had it since I was a child, and my twin has it too.

Do you think its the same thing as on the commercials where the yellow guy is ripping up the toenail, or is this different? What are the treatments for this type (if its different) and the commercialized type of fungus? What are the natural treatments first off; including ones put outside the body and ones put inside the body. Any side effects of these natural treatments?
