Commonly known as the master cleanse, the lemonade cleanse diet is widely adopted as a detox and weight loss diet. 

If you want to succeed and lose weight with this lemonade diet, you will want to know the list of potential frustrations you may face with the original Stanley Burroughs Master Cleanse diet. 

And that could mean giving up half way, or gaining back all the weight you have lost and more during your master cleanse. I’ll show you how to overcome these frustrations in this article.

Probably it’s Beyonce Knowles and Robin Quivers who popularize this 50 year old formula. Both apparently achieved miraculous results with the lemonade cleansing diet.

Many immediately followed Beyonce and Robin, adopting the lemonade diet for detox and weight loss. Some have succeeded losing weight following the original lemon cleanse diet by Stanley Burroughs.  Many more have failed.  And for those who fail, the majority gave up barely 3 days into this body cleanse regime.

I think I can assume that you are on solid food all the time.  For a lot of people, shifting from solid food to the master cleanse diet suddenly will be too much to handle. It’s too drastic.

Consciously or subconsciously, you’ll be constantly reminded that you have not taken anything solid for a while.  And it’s not a comfortable feeling.

Instead of a suddenly switch, you can opt for a gradual transition.  Begin with a meal of lemonade and progressively reduce solid food till you are totally on the Master Cleanse diet.



This is closely linked to the earlier point.  The first 3 days are the hardest to get by. There will always be strong temptation to eat.

Somehow the cheese burger on the screen seems juicier than it used to.  And as you walk down the street, the aroma of freshly baked black forest cake fills the air.  Simply irresistible.

These are just 2 examples how daily temptations can weaken your will power.

What should you do?  Avoid places where you can be tempted. And if the program you are watching is constantly reminding you of food, stop watching.  Switch it off.

But if you can’t take it any more, you may want to know this:

You can eat while on the lemon cleanse diet. Huh, what?

Yes, you hear me right! It’s not true that you can’t eat while on master cleanse.  You can.

Of course you are encouraged not to eat solid food, but there’s a list of “safe food” which you can consume without interfering with your body cleanse diet.

On the average, you can lose 2 pounds a day. And mathematically it means that in 30 days, you can lose 60 pounds. Sounds like an easy way to shed weight?

But you may want to know that once you are off the master cleanse, in the same amount of time, you can put back everything plus a few extra pounds. What happen?

Mathematically, shedding 60 pounds looks easy. You just need to extend the body cleanse.  The problem is, once you are in the body cleanse for too long, your metabolism start to slow down to adjust to your new diet pattern.

And when you are back to normal diet, the food intake is too much for your newly conditioned body to handle.  Simply put, you can’t metabolize as much calories as you used to do.  And these calories turned into fats.

My recommendation to you is to stay on the master cleanse for 10 days max.  That’s the optimum number of days to experience the amazing effect of this internal body cleanse. Don’t be afraid to go under 10 days or stop if you feel uncomfortable during your lemonade diet regime.

These are only 3 of the many challenges (or frustrations) you may face.

4.) Keep going for 10 days

Yes, in just 10 days this great diet will have cleansed and detoxed your body and you should be feeling a lot better both physically and mentally. It really is that powerful and starts to work very quickly indeed.
